Windermere and Bowness both have a great selection of bars and restaurants so recommending places is a great job – as we have to keep trying them all! Just to keep on top of where our guests might like to spend some time during their stay with us (selfless, I know).
Recently, we wandered up the road to the Crafty Baa, tucked away on Windermere’s Victoria Street and offering a fab selection of craft beers (over 100), ciders and wines. Even for those that aren’t keen on beer there’s something that’s sure to convert you – and the staff are more than happy to offer up a little taster until you settle on something you love!
Being a big fan of bubbles myself, I happily made my way through a mini bottle of prosecco while taking in the atmosphere: it’s small and cosy with acoustic music and a rustic decor – loads of quirky signs and a very laid back feel. And did I mention that they have fairy lights too? We do love a fairy light string!
We saw a recent comment on their Facebook page, which really made us laugh – the customers had accidentally spent far longer than they’d planned in the Baa. That’s got to be a great sign, and it totally fits with our laid back approach to the time that you spend with us!
Next time you’re with us, don’t forget to ask for a recommendation – all this ‘research’ is put to good use, honest!
And don’t forget, we’re in easy walking distance of Windermere & Bowness so there are no worries about where to park and who’s going to drive, or the extra cost of a taxi.
