Located in the beautiful county of Cumbria, Dalton-in-Furness is the perfect sleepy town for those looking to simply get away from it all and enjoy the surroundings of the Lake District.

Noted for the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Dalton-in-Furness is also a brilliant destination for young families (and big kids too!). The zoo has expanded dramatically over recent years, exhibiting larger animals and increasing its commercial offering.

The town is immersed in history, with its most notable landmark being Dalton Castle, currently owned by the National Trust. The 14th century abbey, used for many years as a courthouse, adds to the rich stories and tales that stem from this quaint town.

Dalton also boasts a famous resident; George Romney was born here during the 1700s, residing in the town for some of the earlier years of his life. 

Modern day Dalton-in-Furness offers a range of speciality shops and some more recognisable high street stores, alongside fabulous market halls, with a range of over 80 stalls to choose from.
